@olivetreeann "Roy" is indeed a real person. He's my husband. Halfway through January, he came home from work all grinning and told me this visible spectrum idea.
He wanted to do 365 with me this year, but he has a semi-stressful and busy job, so knew it would be too difficult to commit to the photo-a-day thing. (He tried it back in 2010, and quit after 2 months).
@tonydebont I can say as a witness that is has taken some time and effort. ;-)
@monika64 Actually, he's been shooting the photos on Saturdays and uploading a week's worth on Sundays. At least, I think that's the plan.
I already know what's in store for Feb, but it's top secret for now, lol!
Thanks for checking it out! "Roy" was happy to see all the positive feedback for his idea and effort. I hope he will come on here as well and say his bit. ;-) @roygbiv
@allegresse - I totally get the stressfuly job thing, while mine is only stressful at times, it does make those days difficult to dig out the camera and think outside of the box to get a keeper. :)
@allegresse Awesome! I will follow him to watch those calendars! Lately I've enjoyed doing challenges that not only go day by day, week by week, but make an overall impact on the calendar view too. My favorite so far has been the month of July in 2012. But I think this month is going to look pretty cool too.
The whole idea of the site is to take pictures and post them and learn and have FUN!! I don't care if they are taken on the right day -- some people have stressful jobs and only get time once a week to shoot/post - I always love something new or something that looks neat - I am enjoying the few rainbow months that are being done right now -- I can hardly wait until Feb is revealed!
@mwac I agree! In this life, all we can be expected to do is our very best. For some people, that means not shooting every day, but whenever they get a moment.
The most important thing to remember is to enjoy life to its fullest...and make your 365 project whatever YOU want it to be. Whatever is meaningful to you. There are no "rules." ;-)
@roygbiv
I hadn't even noticed the dates until you pointed it out @kwiksilver
Wonder if we're getting a whole month at the end of Feb?
