Back by popular request a London Meet up. This will be held on 15th November 2014, meeting point will be outside McDonalds Liverpool Street Station, time 10.30am. Initially a brief walk around the city to view the buildings and then we will be heading to Brick Lane for a look at the latest street art. After that as we wander back to Liverpool Street station, happy to call in at Spitalfields Market for some early Xmas shopping if you wish.
The amount of walking will easily be two-three miles mainly on pavement and I suggest we grab lunch in the Brick Lane area. As ever this will not be a route march(read yes it will), coffee breaks allowed by consensus and lunch taken wherever you fancy.
Hope to see new faces, old faces and anyone who wants a chance to take some photos and talk camera gear in like minded company.
To help me with the administration this is the one and only notice, please pass it on. I will be there rain or shine and looking forward to seeing anyone else who cares to come along. No need to book, no payment required just you and your camera plus a sense of humour!!!
oh.....you couldn't not do it could you!? I just dropped in for a nose about see who was doing what and I see this......well who knows who might turn up eh?! xxx
Nooooo! I will be in Oxfordshire, watching a friend's arrogant and snotty daughter and her LOMBARD (Lots Of Money But A Real Douchebag) boyfriend getting married (I don't want to go! I want to be in London with you guys!)
Would love to join ... but I don't think I can go as I expect to be back in Netherlands! I shall put the date in the diary however and keep my fingers crossed ...! Brilliant idea to get together! :)
@padlock you were all lovely & it was really enjoyable but sometimes it's a bit daunting meeting people you know through 365 but have never met especially if you are on your own.
Clive I am really sad to be missing this.....I have loved all the previous events you have put together, fab fun, but I have already arranged to see my Dad. Have a fab time everyone.........see you next time :)
@boxplayer@fueast thanks Iska for the correction......hope she can make it but always so busy.....just half an hour to meet her would be great! @jewelsandbinoculars No typo I just spelt it wrong ha ha! Definitely a birthday treat Alison!
@happypat@boxplayer thanks for the shout out, particularly given my woeful absence of late. I would feel a total fraud trailing round after all the real photographers with my battered iphone, but if we're in London that weekend (need to check) perhaps I could join you all for a drink?
@jewelsandbinoculars Don't worry about the kit, it is the result that counts. On these meets it is more the meeting and laughing that make it great, a good photo makes it a success. Drink as well-there you go.
@padlock Oh, I had so much last time -- I wish I could be part of this meet-up but I'll be in Italy. If you have one in the spring or summer, please let me know. I just might swing another trip to England.
@amyleewinfield Hi Amy Lee, I would suggest that you use the train straight into St Pancras and then hop on the tube. By the time you have factored in the petrol, congestion charge and parking the train may be cheaper.
@amyleewinfield just looked on train times and if you came down early in the morning and went back after three tickets are about £20 each way. To help I think the congestion charge for london is £13 and parking will be over £20.
I should be able to make a bit of this at least - will probably be only for a couple of hours as my husband's away and I'm on taxi duty but would be great to see you all (and shake the dust off my camera). Thanks for the heads-up Clive
@boxplayer Cheers mate - Just checked (with the wife and the footie fixtures) and am free on 15th so will try my best to get up town and have a bit of a wander with you all :-)
Next time I hope,
Have fun, look forward to seeing your shots
Will try & think of some more but can't just remember their user names off the top of my head thanks for the nod @ @bizziebeeme
@fueast, what else could you possibly want to do on your birthday?
