Share a September favourite

It’s that time again! Take a look back over the last month, and share a favourite image or two. Please include some about why these are your September highlights.

My September standouts include the dancing heron, because it really does look as though he’s entered stage right with a big “ta-daaa!”.

I also loved this image from the National Gallery. The vibrant colours and the light were so appealing.

Share your highlights in the comments below. If you’ve not done this before, instructions are as follows: Go to the photo you want to post. Underneath your photo is a curved arrow to the right. Click on the arrow and it will open a pop-up box with an "Embed Code". Copy the code then paste it in the comment box, adding whatever comments you wish.

My favourite from September just because I love the book and I think the photo works well.

I guess I would say this one as I get excited when I see deer and am able to capture a picture of them.

I love the textures on the waves and how the seagull is walking in front of it. Also I just love beach shots https://365project.org/sfeldphotos/365/2024-09-06

Also this one because it's not every day I get a supermoon and lunar eclipse at the same time https://365project.org/sfeldphotos/365/2024-09-17

The sign made me chuckle- the woman entering the picture while I took it made me feel like Vivian Maier capturing snippets of life with unsuspecting people.

Has to be one of the shots I took at Lake Taupo while on a landscape photography workshop with Meghan Maloney, an awesome photographer and teacher. This one was taken at sunrise after we'd been out at the same spot until 1.30am shooting star trails.

This is the other shot taking 9 shots of 10 minute exposures each to get this photograph

hard to pick, but I'll give an edge to this one:

I did a photo class at Missouri Botanical Gardens in September, which was a lot of fun. But during our wandering of the gardens, and all the beautiful views, I noticed this small moment, off to the side and away from most people's attention. I really struck me, and I loved the light. I savored the moment of discovery, and managed to capture the moment to my satisfaction.

My 9 shot multiple exposure /Mysteryland' was my last photo for September and definitely a favourite for September. I love the otherwordly appearance that resulted, which was far beyond my expectations.

The subjects in this picture insisted I take this picture when they saw my camera. I also love the lady in the back grinning.
