Literature Project #2 The Name of the Rose

Umberto Eco's extraordinary book "The Name of the Rose" is to my mind a classic. Perhaps not the easiest of reads but one well worth persevering with (there is at least one published commentary which helps considerably not least with the Latin bits). To find out more about the book see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Name_of_the_Rose
There are so many passages from from The Name of the Rose that I could quote (Goodreads lists 554 of them) but here is one that I like:

"Books are not made to be believed, but to be subjected to enquiry".

@randystreat Just to be clear I am not promoting anything here just explaining the connection between my photo and the work of literature.

@allsop promote was the wrong verb. Sorry. I rely entirely too much on Thesaurus entries and was too lazy to look up a better word.

@randystreat No problem, I did wonder if I was being too sensitive😕 I will try to be more careful in the future.
