Canada has 10 provinces and 2 territories. each province has its own official flower. the Trillium is ours. it grows in our forests and makes a spectacular display.
do you have something like this where you live? it helps to identify the provins or state your mention where you are from.
Yep! We're the bluebonnet here and one thing about it, Moms seem to just have to take pics of their kids in the bluebonnet field each year. It's just a Texas thing, I guess!
The Rose is my national flower. My country’s colors are red, white, and blue. However, I have no white rose bushes and the red bush has not started blooming yet. Therefore, here is a picture of a blossom from my early blooming yellow rose bush.
The Hawthorn is my state flower, but I do not live where there are a lot of Hawthorns. I do have a picture of the state tree blossom (Dogwood).
Apparently for Essex, England it's the common poppy, will have to get a photo. For England they say it's the Red Rose, again will have to get a photo of that as I only have pink roses I think.
here in scotland where im currently living its the thistle , for england (im an engish girl living in a scottish town) as others have said its the red rose

@3nder We spent a week holiday in West Virginia and found the country sites very beautiful..enjoyed seeing so many deers as well. my husband liked the curvy roads all up and downhill. he says just like his hometown in Germany.
Arkansas state flower is The Apple Blossom. I don't have any pictures of one though, wouldn't even know where to get one to be honest. We used to have a cherry tree in front of our old house but I don't know about Apple Trees
@sarahscott1223Very interesting..yes i stay away from goldenrod ...there was a time when I was ellergic as well but after I got injected for a whole year with some kind of serum the ellergy went away for good.
The USA rose is very beautiful. only the yellow one or any color rose?
@davidchrtrans ..Thank your for your reply. I love canations..they are so romantic and last a lot longer than the roses..so my husband always brings carnations home for me.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
North Dakota is the Wild Prairie Rose. I don't have any pictures of them and I'm pretty sure they're not even blooming yet...we've had such a late, cool spring that everything seems to be behind.
Well gee... because of this subject, I actually learned that I've been WRONG for my entire life!! I always thought the trillium was also our state flower here in Washington. I looked it up just to make sure, and good thing I did. It's actually the coast rhododendron!!! This isn't a coast rhody (I think they're done blooming now anyway), but this is the one outside my kitchen window.
@bruni Not a problem! I used to find them all the time at my Grandpa's farm, but haven't seen too many of them where we live now....might have to go "home" for a visit again in the near future.
@svestdonley thank you so much.. I just love these little violets..they are popping up in my lawn and I hate to mow them over...so I dick them out and replant them in my garden.
@coolgirlsar So's Norfolks! we have to share a county flower. Good Ol' poppy, no offence to Essex but I don't like sharing but a few years ago they were going to change Norfolks to cowslip.... Glad they didnt its rubbish :)
@sonialast Hi.thank you for sharing this with us all. would think there are anough flowers in the world so why do you have to share? wouldn't like that either.
@bruni Exactly... perhaps i should start a campaign! Most people in Norfolk are very traditional so will be tough to convince... what flower shall i choose...Wisteria? :) i love them!
@3nder Did you know the Dogwood is both a tree AND a flower? LOL - that's from "The American President" with Michael Douglas - cracks me up every time.
I hope you're not tired of Bluebonnets yet. Here's another from Texas! They're so pretty when they blanket the ground. This year's crop was not great but the predictions say that next year's will be WONDERFUL!
The Philippines' national flower is the Sampaguita. It is a "relative" of the Jasmine flower. The picture shown here are still buds. It's not much to look at really since it is a simple white flower but it gives out a mildly sweet scent.
@cariadon That's my favorite spring flower. I love to buy them on my birthday which is the first day of spring and this year we were behind at leat by a few weeks so the daffodils where not blooming yet.
@autumnseden Such a beauty..we only have them in red..at least I haven't seen a poppy in this beautiful color..I wish you good luck for the upcoming contest.
@girlie thanks for sharing this unusual flower with us. wonder if it would grow here...when we're on vacation somewhere and see a flower we con't know my hubby tries to get some seeds .sometimes he succeeds but most often not.
@bruni Wattle has been taken to some countries and grown successfully. There are many different types that can cope with all sorts of climates. In some places overseas it is known as Mimosa.
@coolgirlsar. I'm happy you participated and gave us your information..don't know how long this thread will be open. so its ok if don't have a picture. thank you so much.

Toothed Orchid (Orchis tridentata) is protected in Slovenia as it only grows on desolated untreated meadows. They are on their way to being extinct as more and more farmers cultivate their meadows.
Since there were so many flowers from Texas.....like @bruni...I am also from Ontario, Canada. I love the look of the Trillium....wanted to show you mine. :)
Our state flower however is the Yellow Hibiscus. I dont have a photo of one of those but I do have plumeria ones since Plumerias are commonly associated with Hawaii. :) I know im cheating by posting this but this is what reminds me of hawaii.
Washington State's is the coast rhododendron. I think we have one in one of our flowerbeds, but I haven't had a chance to see if it's bloomed yet. Rhododendrons are beautiful flowers.

"The national flower of England is the rose. The flower has been adopted as England’s emblem since the time of the Wars of the Roses - civil wars (1455-1485) between the royal house of Lancaster (whose emblem was a red rose) and the royal house of York (whose emblem was a white rose). "
