As the winner of the abstract-language, it is my honour to host this week's mundane challenge!
This week's mundane star is ..... cardboard so I guess we're stuck with Abstract Cardboard.
Here are the basics:
This challenge runs concurrently with the Mundane Challenge. Where the #1 objective of the Mundane Challenge is to keep the subject clearly identifiable and "the star", this is the "alter-ego" for those of us who like to explore abstractions.
We use the same subject matter and the same start and end dates as the Mundane Challenge, so our subject is Cardboard and will end Sunday, Feb 24th.
The winner of the Abstract-Mundane challenge will host the next challenge (post the rules, pick the images to vote on, announce the next winner).
Getting a bit confused with the tags for this challenge. All the pics in the vote for the last abstract challenge were tagged mundane-language. Did the 7 people who tagged their photo with abstract -language get looked at as well?
Seems like all the photos for both votes came from the same tagged pics.
I didn't enter in either, but it just seemed like the correctly tagged photos were maybe overlooked?
There were actually 2 photos that were in both voting pages.
Dear all thank you for the interest in this. As we did in the abstract mundane challenge in the past, this will be abstract shots of cardboard. or anything that makes you think cardboard for that matter.
I do not know how or what the tags were for the previous challenges, but in this only those tagged as abstract-cardboard will be taken into account and voted on.
I hope that clarifies things for you all. Apologies if I was unclear in the post and caused you any confusion. Happy creating!
@frida
Thanks for the response Frida, my question was about the selection of the last photos. Your fabulous photo won the challenge for the abstract language, but wasn't actually tagged for that challenge. None of the selected finalists were. The finalists for both challenges were taken from the same tags, mundane-language.
It was obviously an over sight, but it seems the few people who tagged abstract-language, didn't get their photos into the abstract vote. @mabelkitty
@onie@kjarn My apologies, it was confusing the first time around. I think it will either clear itself up or burn itself out in the next couple of rounds. Sorry if I omitted images you put time and thought into. :(
@kjarn@miley89 If you don't care for it, then simply don't participate. That's the beauty of having so many challenges...there's something for everyone.
Yes, because it's confusing. The mundane challenge, I got, like the toothbrush, etc. I didn't think there were any entrants for the abstract mundane language or wotnot last time, I missed something? I just got confused. Never mind. @mabelkitty
I was one of the people who used the "abstract-language" tag last time, as directed. If we can be absolutely sure about the tag this time I'd like to participate, but my feeling was that my time (quite a lot of it) was wasted in the last challenge.
@miley89@grizzlysghost must admit dont do these challeng much but aarons description has helped and mileys honesty has given me a warm glow this cold morning. Love it.
Oh, pooo! I finally got around to doing something for the abstract category "CardBored" and missed the deadline and all! But I'm posting what I came up with for the abstract category here!

"mundane-cardboard"
"abstract-cardboard"
Only the "mundane" should compete for the mundane title and only the "abstract" should compete for the abstract title.
Again, the "abstract" portion is only tertiary for those people who like to drift into the unrecognizable.
@miley89 You're in luck Miley, this challenge isn't mandatory.
