I know that you wonderful group of photographers have some great photos of mosaic tile pictures and tile patterns. I have seen some posted. This is a colorful and creative collage challenge and I hope that you can get inspired to participate. I am sure there are fine examples of tilework from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Australia, Mexico, the United States and basically everywhere from around the globe. They do not need to be photos taken in the competition period of December/January so check your archives and files. Thank you all!

First of all a big thank you to Judith Deacon @judithdeacon for hosting The Color Red Challenge and thanks to everyone who participated and voted.
I had a couple of ideas for the next Six Photo Collage (MFPIAC) theme. I thought “winter” would be nice but then remembered that not all 365 members are experiencing winter. For some, it is spring. Thus, I will go with my first choice of MOSAIC TILE.
MOSAIC TILE can be a decorative or intricate design or work of art made up of small pieces to create either a pattern or image. It can be made from porcelain, stones like travertine or marble, pebbles, glass or metal.
The challenge will start on Friday, December 28th and end on Wednesday, January 23 with voting finishing thereafter on Wednesday, January 30th. I will announce the winner who then gets the priviledge of starting the next mfpiac challenge and deciding the theme.
Have fun and I hope you enjoy it. Please tag your masterpiece MFPIAC81.
And like all other MFPIAC challenges, your collage must consist of six photos, which can be taken at any time, so the photos do not need to be taken within the time frame of this challenge. If you have any questions, please ask.

OK, the samples are a great help. When I think mosaics, I think of the tiny pieces of tile that form one picture, like a face or an animal. I only have one pic like that. But, I have some like these.
@homeschoolmom That’s what happened to me. I didn’t really have any traditional mosaic photos but had a lot of tile photos to work with. I took a chance that these would be okay and looks like they are,
I found some mosaics in town on Friday evening, enough to make a collage, and took plenty of shots. Unfortunately , it was so dark they have barely come out but I have logged their location and plan on going back during daylight hours :)
