Dear walks@7 – Joy Sabin,
thank you for hosting the previous minimalist challenge. I bet you had a hard time selecting the finalists. But now it's all over and the lucky one was me. And I am overjoyed that my photograph stood out among so many beautiful entries. A very warm "Thank you!" to all those who participated in the challenge (it would have been weird to be the only one in the challenge) and also to those who participated in the voting.
The theme I selected for the new Minimalism challenge is TOOLS. Tools are not only screwdrivers and wrenches and hammers. Tools are those aids that help us do our jobs or tasks. For a mechanic, there are wrenches and screwdrivers. For a housewife there is a knife or a washing machine. For a writer, there are not only pens and typewriters, but also words, and dictionalries. For a photographer, there is not only the camera, but also the lenses, the tripod and the camera bag and filters and lamps. For a driver, there's the steering wheel, the pedals or the wheels. For a painter, there's paint, painter's tape, brushes, and a bucket. For a gardener, there's the shears and the watering can and a hose and the rubber boots. You got the point, right? I don;t know the names of all the tools. The idea is to go beyond the screwdriver and wrench as tools. Oh, I almost forgot: the witches have the broomsticks... a friend tells me...
Anyway, have fun with the challenge and make it hard for me to pick the finalists (which I'm sure you'll do).
I wonder if I can join my own challenge?
