I have just returned home from vacation and discover that there are only 3 entries in the album cover challenge so I have extended the deadline another week in the hope that there will be a few more submissions. For those of you who may not know how it works here are the rules:
1. First, THE BAND or THE ARTIST: Go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
then choose the link for "random article" on the top left side of the page. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your musician(s) or band.
2. THE ALBUM: Go to http://www.quotationspage.com/ and choose "random quotes" from the left menu. Scroll down to the end of the page. The last 4 to 6 words of any of the three last quotes on the page is the title of your album, whichever you think would go with your band or artist.
3. Next, find or take a photo that fits the album and artist(s). 'You can use any image of yours for the album, old or new, but you must use your own images and do all processing for the cover.
4. Use your favourite editing program to create your cover. There are many free editing programs out there -- ipiccy, ribbet, affinity, gimp, befunky, etc.
Album covers are square so remember to crop it to 1:1 aspect ratio.
START DATE - June 16, 2021 (back dated to the end of the last one)
***NEW END DATE - July 29th 2021***
When you get your artist or band name I find it helps if you imagine what type of music they might play. This can give your album design some direction. This is a fun one so give it a try.
