The caution sign was actually posted when the bridge was in decent shape because it had a tendency to be slippery when wet or frosty. Then the dispute over who was responsible to maintain it began - still unresolved!
I put another one up today - I regularly go there to take pictures, but I'm usually standing on it and using the rail as a convenient point to set up a Gorillapod
