The Album Cover Challenge has turned 100!

January 15th, 2019
The Album Cover Challenge has turned 100 proving it's one of the most popular challenges here on 365! What? You've never entered it? Well make this centenarian happy and take part this time. After all, it's not every day something reaches 100!

Here's how it works and what you need to do to enter:

1) Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/main_Page and clink on the link for "Random Article" on the top left side of the page. The first random article you get is the name of your musician(s) or band.

2) Next go to the http://www.quotationspage.com and click on "Random Quotes" from the left menu. Go down to the bottom of the page. The last 4 to 6 words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

Please remember that you should use at least the last 4 words of the quote.

3) Then find, or take, a photo that fits your artist and album title. You are allowed to edit to your heart's content on this challenge so go for it! You can use any photo processing program of your choice, but the photo(s) must be yours. It does not have to be taken during the time frame of the challenge. This gives you a chance to look through your archives for a suitable shot.

Remember, albums and CDs are square, so use a square crop!

** BONUS – Some folks like to have a little fun and add a short description of what style/genre of music their band or artist would play in their commentary under the picture. So if you’ve ever dreamed of being a graphic artist or a promotional agent- give it a “virtural” try!

4) You can post more than one entry with the same quote/band, or call up a different one and post that too.

5) Tag: albumcoverchallenge100

Check out other entries here: http://365project.org/tags/albumcoverchallenge100

6) Please post your album cover(s) in this discussion thread. This helps keep the discussion visible. To do so, click on the three dots on the bottom right of your post and then copy and paste the embed code on to the comment box below. Your picture will appear in the discussion once you click on "post comment".

7) The challenge starts January 15, 2019 and runs until January 31st. I will select the finalists and post them for voting shortly thereafter. The winner will have the distinct honor of hosting the next album cover challenge.

Many thanks to all of you who voted for me in challenge #99- it’s fun to be hosting the 100th edition of this 365 classic!

Band Isleworth Hundred
Isleworth Hundred was a subdivision of the historic county of Middlesex, England. In Domesday Book (1086) it was recorded as Hundeslaw Hundred ("Hounslow Hundred" in modern spelling) It contained three parishes, whose acreage and square miles area is given as at the 1870s-1880s
Quote:
The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd; indeed in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widespread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.
Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970), Marriage and Morals (1929) ch. 5

Ann - could I use 'More Foolish than Sensible' as the name of the album rather than 'To Be Foolish than Sensible'?

@farmreporter That's perfectly fine with me! I just copied and pasted the rules from the last challenge- but truthfully I think any part of the quote should be "usable". So yes, you are given the freedom to break the rule! hehe
