10.29 Calatrava

I came visiting my parents in Southern Italy and found the pleasing news of a city in full bloom, with the ambitious project of a bridge by Achistar Santiago Calatrava almost finished. Other pictures to come.
His constructions are always so recognizable.

@blueberry1222 They are! I love them.
@caterina Thank you a lot, Caterina! It was a glorious day.
@vignouse Thanks, Richard! It is. Unfortunately, the site was fenced and unaccessible but from one side, but others will come!
@s4sayer Thank you, Margo. Actually, a friendly homeless guy had his "residence" just behind the cart, I wasn't brave enough to include his equipment in the picture. We had a surprisingly nice chat, however.
@pickerandagrinner Yes, it's Mr. Calatrava signature, in some way.

Now that looks like a bridge worth having. I wish they had sent him over to Bedford when they were adding a new bridge recently.

@helenhall It is, I do agree. It is good when municipalities invest money in landscaping.

Where is it?

@caterina Cosenza, my birthplace.

I had not heard about the Calatrava bridge in Cosenza. How come that the newspapers only comment about the bad news regarding the South? @domenicododaro Anyway, glad to hear it
