Michigan winter

This is one of my favorite four season places to hike and shoot. This is actually from the other day, under the weather but wanted to post
A true winter scene - and I am envious - it seems very very many years since we had a "true winter" with snow for long periods, icicles and frezzing tempertaures. We seem only to have dull, wet days from November to March which does not offer photo problems of high contrast but simply is dull!. I note you have the same camera as me - the first I have found on 365! - I can see it in your shots so simialr to many of mine - a real beast of a camera to start with but once tamed it can be a real joy and shots really zing when hit that sweet spot - it certainly has made me learn so much about photogrpahy by having a camera that allows you to do everything you read about in books and magazines and capturing in RAW with that pixel count allows me such flexibility in post processing - I am so pleased I took the plunge to buy it - its a sheer deligh - will follow and see how you are getting along

@handymaurice Thanks Haydn, I actually had a D3200 and my husband surprised me with "the beast." I was excited but told him to return it because it was way to much for me. However, obviously I kept it but decided to take classes...the number one thing I learned, is that I have SO MUCH TO LEARN. But, it's a process and I sure do enjoy it. This shot isn't to sharp, no tripod, just out shooting birds with my friends.
I am always open for feedback/constructive critique. I attempted to start the 365 back in 2014 and didn't last long, so this time I have decided to post as much as I can whether it be with my number one camera or my iPhone and try to get in the habit of posting good, bad, old, new...just to make it a habit and keep the camera ready to shoot a whole lot more

@dridsdale Debra - that is my approach extactly and I am as likely to upload from my iphone, compact or DXO as my 800. But I just feel empowered with my 800 - like you it really is a learning curve but I know I have improved my technique vastly and I feel the quality of my shots is improving - happy to share comment - good or bad!
