Back in August the building and renovation work we'd decided to have done on the house began. Four months later the last, fiddly, little jobs that inevitably signal the end of such a project are being dealt with. The builder came in today to make good the internal surrounds of the living room windows. He put a dust sheet down on the floor to protect the carpet. I haven't arranged it, it just got rucked like this while he was working.
The weather's been lousy here again today ; you may have guessed. :)

Lovely fulsome folds in the dust sheet! I hope it still covered the floor. They say the last 10% of the job is harder than all the rest - so I wish you many glasses of wine to assist.
@janturnbull@carolmw@milaniet@bdb3471@jenrobcarr@jennywren@jtookey150 I don't do mass replies very often but I would like to say thank you to you for all the good wishes. Our builder called in this morning to do a last small job and the work is now finished. We couldn't be more pleased with it, and the whole experience was made a lot easier by having the work done by someone who was hard-working, reliable and had a great sense of humour. We were very fortunate.
