I keep revisiting this work. There is much more to the scene than is clear at first glance. I like the texture and the differential focus. The separation in the centre of focus from the background and the beads is quite wonderful and gives the whole thing a dynamic and 3d view. Nice work.
One point. If this is a crop, how much did you cut off from the left. A little bit more depth there might help the perspective a bit. Just thinking... that's all.
I prefer this one because of the stronger separation from the background. As said it does give a more dynamic look. Still lots of softness though, lovely shot.

My current preference is still for this version but I think sensible thing for me to do is to leave it for now and look again at a future date.

I think the beads in focus would work too alison, as it would still be abstract and unrecognisable
