Organic street light

I don't know what this is that's growing up the street light but I couldn't resist it. I'd have liked to get a bettter shot but wasn't prepared to stand in the middle of some very heavy traffic. There are limits! :-)

Quite an unusual lamppost parasite. Must have taken a while to get like that and intentionally allowed to continue I would have to presume.

@sarahhorsfall Went to Marlow today. The growth is ivy that's been cut to kill it, but there's more starting to make its way resolutely up the post! Not enough for a photo yet, but watch this space. :-)
