I was in Berkhamsted at the chiropractor's again today and spotted this on my post-treatment walk. The building (this is a side of it) is at the far end of the High Street and houses a veterinary surgery. Not the sort of place you'd expect to find this terracotta bust. The more I look, the more the set-up puzzles me. The windows have been added at a later date, the roof seems to have been changed and the bust's niche looks like a bricked up window. Intriguing.
