Beach rock

I love this piece of rock. It's not a precious or even semi-precious crystal but to me it's beautiful and it means a lot because I found it on a beach, just as it is. I've been trying for ages to get a good photo of it but it only occurred to me tonight to use flash!

Love the colour and your choice of table. The wood grain really contrasts with the texture of the rock and enhances the colour of it.

@bigsusan55 Possibly stops and starts in its growth. It does look a bit like wood - another of Nature's echoes, like ferns and frost patterns.
