Probably early. I think this is the member of the Prunus (plums, cherries) family that usually blossoms in late January/early February. This one tree is currently blooming away quite happily in Chesham park.

@dulciknit I saw a tree full of blossom today, but the flowers were much smaller than yours. I couldn't identify it, could it have be almond? Or cherry?
@hamble I suspect they might have been the same size as this one. It's only about as big as a 10p piece, the close up and pov have made it look bigger. I *think* it's a Prunus of some sort.
