Q is for Queen Victoria Street

Not only did Queen Victoria have an extraordinary long reign, but she did so at a time when the domination of the British Empire meant that her name was attached to an extensive array of public places throughout the world. South Africa, and Cape Town in particular, have its share.

Queen Victoria Street is in the city centre and, with the exception of this building, it is a busy, successful area where the Advocates have their Chambers and other legal-types hang out (the Supreme Court is round the corner.)

No prizes for guessing why Faith47 chose this place, and this line of the Freedom Charter to make a point about the social and judicial realities of modern South Africa.
Great, great shot and sooo true!
