The words might be in English, but it'll still need translation. We call traffic lights "robots' in South Africa and someone at Pick 'n Pay (grocery store) has decided to rebrand Bell Peppers / Capsicum because of the link with the colours of a traffic light. Cute :)
I would never ever have worked that out!!! Thanks for the translation and, it is a fun idea!!

That is part of Aussie supermarket 'speak' too. Only for the three packs. But I would never ask for Bell peppers - always capsicum here.

@cmt2812 Do you use the term 'robot' or 'traffic light' in Australia?

We have traffic lights so they are "Traffic Light Capsicums" but I have a SA friend who uses "robot" all the time so I'm very familiar with the term now!

how creative! Thanks for the translation! I too never would have guessed they were talking of traffic lights! I'd have thought they meant a robot like in the movie I-Robot! Or a Zoomba!

Apparently (if you Google it) there is a Robot that picks sweet peppers!!!!! I couldn't believe it!

Some one just told me the term "I was held up by the robots" yesterday. What timing.

Thanks for the translation! Now I want to know how much the 3 pack costs - it's $6 in Virginia, USA for a Red/Yellow/Orange pack.

LOL! That's really interesting! I never would have guessed that one... thanks for the translation!

@wwhite13 It's R19.99 for the three which is $2.92 at today's exchange rate. That's half price, and we are moaning about the cost of living :)

@wwhite13 Ah - I've just realised that you don't have green in your pack - and here the green cost half what the red/orange/yellow cost. But it's still lots cheaper.
