Spotted Eagle-Owl

This is the most common owl found around Cape Town. We have one that roosts across the road in the school's trees. The World of Birds in Hout Bay provide sanctuary for injured birds, and keeps those that cannot be rehabilitated into the wild.
FIERCE! Love it!

I love World of Birds (or THE World of THE Birds as my niece used to call it). But every time I went there, either a flipping penguin tweaked my leg or a crow pecked my toe. I bring out the worst in birds :o(
