This is so fascinating!! From Trondheim?? And so gorgeous. We took the Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Cruise last spring. Would love to do it again in the fall for scenes like this. (We have seen the lights when visiting family in Canada, however.)
They reached down as far as West Cumbria in the North of England and loads of people saw them. However, I was desperate to see them but having driven to various points I missed them. Gutted. And the next night was too cloudy. It is one of my great wishes to see them.
This is what I want to learn to do! I went to Iceland once to see this, I did and was grateful, it was beautiful, but do not know how to get a good photo!
Very nice!! I would love to do that sometime! Went to a night photography lecture/workshop, and one of the photos they showed was breathtaking...sort of like yours, but with a wider angle, with the aurora fanning out like drapery!
