Last day and we headed home later in the day but not before visiting Bletchley Park which we last went to over 13 years ago so a lot had changed! The work that went on at Bletchley during the second world war was amazing and I feel so sad at the way in which Alan Turing was treated after the war. There was a teddy bear in a glass case called Porgy. He was Alan Turing's bear which he bought as an adult and practiced his speeches to whilst at Cambridge University, it was so sad seeing him locked up and thinking about all the things he would have heard from Alan.
This is a recreation of Alan Turing's room whilst he was working at Bletchley...
We headed back later after a great few days away on Colin’s birthday break some 11 months after his birthday... only about 6 weeks until the next one! The weather held although it was pretty nippy today. The only disappointment was that the hotel was not totally up to scratch and the evening meals (and we are both foodies) rather let us down. We seem to get such better value abroad :-(
