Robbie the plumber came over this morning to fix not one but two toilets! The downstairs one has a leak from the fresh water feed (luckily not the waste pipe!) and the upstairs one has a failing flush that has to be flicked down at just the right speed and angle to actually flush properly. He managed to fix both of them although the one upstairs is now very hard to flush and by the end of the day stopped filling up altogether so we need him back again tomorrow to try again.
In the afternoon it was back to the dentist again for poor Colin as his new crown is still not fitting properly. He’s back to a temporary one again while they remould this one. Afterwards we popped into Brewers in Twickenham on the way back to try and match the wallpaper in the kitchen which we had to cut out to clean up where the leaking roof had come through. Unfortunately the closest paper was over fifteen pounds a roll and we only need a little bit so we’ve gone for limning paper as it is behind the fridge and not very noticeable. This lovely symmetrical display os of the various paint colours on the wall and is designed so the colours can be viewed in different sorts or light and shade.
We did stop by Home Base on the way home as I had a plan to find a free sample of similar paper but in the event, the only one that would have matched was not available as a sample! Hey-ho.
