Today I am introducing to you Treguier, a small and charming historical city, located 13 km from here. Although the population is only 2500 people, the city has a 14th century cathedral which was built to honorate Saint Yves, one of the most venerated saints in Brittany. Saint Yves is the patron saint of the lawyers, and there is a large international pilgrimage here once a year.
The picture was made from the road along the small harbour, and shows the gate from the harbour into the city. The tower is from the 17th century. I made the shot during a brief sunny clearance in the threatening clouds.
