Treguier : the Cathedral, shot from the harbour road
The building phases lasted from the 12th until the 15th century. The cathedral is richly ornamentated and has a cloister. There are two very popular pilgrimages here every year, one to Saint Tugdual, the Welsh founder of the city in the 6th century, and one to Saint Yves, defender of the poors against the riches in the 13th century and therefore patron of all legal professions. The city is buzzing on the days of the two pilgrimages, but usually rather quiet otherwise.
