When you say old, do you mean “no longer functioning”? We have micro breweries springing up all over. it seems to be a new trend around here, competing with the wineries.
@shutterbug49 Hi Shutterbug, thanks for your interest. This brewery was funded in 1800 and was brewing dark Irish ale and porter beers. It closed during the Second World War because of the shortage of supplies, and never reopened. The chimneys have been restored and maintained since then.
@etienne Thanks for telling the history. Dark Ale and Porters are definitely making a splash here in California wine country. Maybe they will come back as micro brews.
