Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center

A beautiful fall day, so I visited a nature center looking for birds. I heard them, but this was as close as I got to seeing any. A thousand miles away in New Mexico, my son was photographing birds at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. I hope he had better luck. (He usually does, but skill definitely plays a part!)

I like these houses with the moving side, to allow for cleaning. The birds were probably watching you. :)

I’ve never been able to take a good picture of a bird, but given that I take all my pictures with phone it’s probably not that strange!

Nice bird house- sometimes it's the time of day too. My birds are most active in the afternoon from about 3 pm on. Timing can be a big factor with birds.
