I was looking for birds but only saw a few. I did see an old friend who has been photographing this urban swamp for years. He often puts out remote cameras to track the wildlife and recently caught otters on camera. Otters come and go, depending on the water level.
I bought an annual pass for the park as I decided my soul needs more time in nature. After the busyness of the holidays, it was relaxing to be outdoors. It helped that the weather was warm!

That is so true about the restorative aspects of being outdoors. Sometimes I just sit on the back steps in between stacking wood and let the air fill me up with joy. Nice shot!
I hope that you find lots times when the outdoors is just a balm to your soul. I love getting out, it really lets me unwind and just be. I love to find areas that have no noise, save the wind in the trees.
