One of the sticks moved while I was sweeping the deck. It was this guy, an underwing moth caterpillar. I was excited, because the moths can be beautiful. My husband wonders what damage they do....
Marvelous for you to see it and even better that you got such a great shot of it. Perhaps we will see the butterfly posted later?

How about that! This caterpillar would never be spotted around here- he looks exactly like a lichen covered stick. Great shot!
