I found this guy when I was emptying the skimmers. This is why I use a scoop and not my hand! I have wanted to take a photo of one as it drinks from the pool overflow but didn't want to get close enough to make it mad. This one was still disabled after its submersion.
Fabulous shot. Brought back memories. My husband was stung by a hornet in Cyprus when we lived there in the 1980s. It flew in through the open window of the car and went down the back of his shirt. He was stung 6 times. Luckily I was driving and we were just passing the Sovereign Base Area at Episkopi and we pulled into the medical centre where he was treated.
