I put a color on this bangle, then put a little bit of another color on it, then a bit of another color. All of them together looked like the inside of a goat's stomach...as my Daddy so delicately phrases it.
So, I put a coat of flame red on top of the ivory and daphne blue and robin's egg blue. When it came out of the kiln, it was WOW! I was happy until I noticed a tiny place where the enamel had cracked. This morning, I put it back in so it could reflow. And pits developed all over. Yeah, now I have a pitty bangle. Maybe I can call it a design element. Sigh.
I love the irregular shape of this and the curved up edges. Of course, if you hadn't told us about the pits being accidental we would have had no trouble believing that this was part of the overall desired effect. It is still very attractive.
This is a lovely bangle, gather what you feel are the oopses and band them together to make a statement piece. I personally like the imperfect or pitting color with the uneven quality of the bangle itself.
