When the boys were small, on a hot summer day, I used to give them a bowl of ice, put them in the middle of the driveway, and hand them their little wooden hammers. They would smash ice to bits for a while, then they would draw on the driveway with the ice. Some of the ice was used to draw on themselves and each other. But they always went back to smashing ice with those little hammers. It is still one of my favorite memories. Ice was cheap. Keeping three little boys occupied for a few hours on a hot afternoon was worth millions!
It has been hot and muggy here, so as I was searching for something in my crazy brain, that memory popped up and I thought, "Why not do a melting ice cube?" I could have done a smashed ice cube, but then I would have needed another person, and my person isn't here. :(
@joysabin Thank you very much for your lovely comment. I very much enjoyed being a mom to my boys. They were always into something, but I loved watching them grow and develop into men. I just found out that they and the youngest's fiance will be coming here for Christmas.
@moonmtn Thank you so much! I don't know about creative...more stuck! :)
