My mama would have a small heart attack if she read this post, so I always give a warning on all snake posts so my Daddy can warn her before she looks at her computer. She DOES NOT do snakes!
This little coin snake got stuck in the pool today and was trying desperately to find a way out. I am glad I saw him before he got tired and drowned as they are such good mousers!
Isn't he beautiful? I love the patterning on his head and the effortless way he swam and floated while I took the photo. I released him into the flower bed where the dogs couldn't find him, where he was happy to slither away quickly.
I remember the very first photographs of yours that I saw, with so many insects and creatures from your pool. This one reminds me of those. All spectacular. It is such a clean sharp image, and those little star bursts are wonderful.
