Beach at Indian Point Park by falcon11

Beach at Indian Point Park

My husband and I took a little drive along the water to see what things looked like after the storm. Very little snow remains this afternoon-- the temperature has climbed to 52 degrees! What a difference a day makes. There are few places to park along the shoreline in this area except this little beach. I shot from very low to the ground to get the large bed of mussels in the foreground. A view of the sparkling water to the right of this in posted in extras: http://365project.org/falcon11/extras
Wow, that's a lot of mussels washed up! So glad your snow melted so quickly. That water shot looks so normal - lovely.

Are the local mussels picked and eaten? That's a massive bed!

@janturnbull We have been clamming here several times, but no one we know eats the local mussels. Not sure exactly why, though.
