This little chipmunk provides a lot of amusement for me. He lives in the stone wall near the driveway. I fill a big scallop shell for his drinking water, and put out a few seeds in the morning, which he hurriedly collects and stows underground.
You are very hospitable! We are not so crazy about the chipmunks that live in our yard, dig holes in our garden, and startle you with their sudden movements.
@annepann We only have two or three right now, so we tolerate them. One year we had too many, and my husband trapped a few and relocated them to our neighborhood park. The fox, coyote and bobcat have keep their numbers down too in recent years.
