Wild Apples by farmreporter

Wild Apples

These are no ordinary apples! They are growing in the middle of a cedar bush just 50 feet from a swamp in conditions that are very unfavorable for an apple tree.
I have no idea how the tree ended up here! I imagine a deer or bird swallowed an apple seed and deposited that seed here, which overcame adversity to grow into this tree.
Nature always find a way. They look delicious 😋😋

If they manage to grow there they are determined & for a strange unknown reason far better than our miserable apples growing in much better conditions!

Another really nice shot. Really like how the tree branch goes across and the roundness of the apples sets it off.

@moya These apples were delicious, by the way! Very firm, no bad spots, and just a wee bit tart.
