I went to put the rubbish out just now and found a package from the postman by the front door - it was my lens I ordered from Ebay which must have arrived this morning from Russia - really excited now! It's a 135mm 1:2.8 which has very good write ups on the internet. It's also just taken a rather good shot of my vacuum handle from across the room, but I didn't think anyone would be interested in that. I will definitely play tomorrow:)
@bob65 Thank you! I think the contrast will be greater on a bright day. It did take a fairly sharp shot of an orange hoover handle against a cream wall, so guess it was easier to focus on the brighter colour!
