She went to that abandoned place
thinking she might find some space
to sit in silence with her mind
just for the briefest stretch of time;
But as she sat within the dark
the walls closed in like circling sharks,
the emptiness devouring her there
and leaving her with the hollow stare
that comes when things have all gone bad,
and she realizes too late...she's been driven mad.
