Barrginj (namarrgon's wife is the mother of grasshoppers. Their children are the Alyurr (Leichhardt’s grasshopper or Petasida Ephiphigera), a type of bright orange and blue grasshopper that is commonly seen early in the wet season, apparently out looking for their father Namarrgon, or calling for him to bring the wet season.
