I used the following setup:
2 studio strobes from the left pointing towards the runner. Shutter speed at 1 second. The modeling light of the studio strobe creates the "motion effect". When the shutter opened, the first strobe went off (freezes the runner on the right). The second strobe was set up to fire 0.9 seconds later, freezing the runner on the left. This is a function the new Elinchrom ELC Pro studio flash offers.
