What are we, humans, but bits of carbon (and other elements) floating around in the cosmos? ...either not noticing or not caring about the ripples we make and what effect they have on the opposite shore.
This image made me think of Virginia Woolf. Bit dark I know but now I keep seeing this image in black and white and a clothed subject rather than the bathing suit. Hope the critique is welcome. It's definitely a great shot as it is. x
@annied Thanks Annie. I wasn't feeling very introspective, so I decided to look at the broader view. @maggiemae Ah shucks. Thanks. @vignouse :) Well, gee. I'm flattered. @kali66 Thanks Kali. Thoughtful in some ways... not super thoughtful on a personal define yourself kind of level, but some days I just don't feel like defining myself. ;) @kerosene Thank you! @hjbenson Thanks Harry. Took me a while to figure out the composition... lots of wading in and out of the pond. @carla42 Critique is always one hundred and ten percent welcome. Fire away! and Thank you!! That was a great comment... very inspiring; I read it, looked up Virginia Woolf, and then set right to work creating a portrait. I think it can tie into this week's shadow theme.... I'll let you know when I upload it. @wenbow Thank you! Inspired by something my dad said, which may have been a Carl Sagan quote, although I couldn't find it. @zosimasy Thanks. :) I'm blushing.
@ludgate I'm so glad the comment was so well received. It's hard to know what's appropriate for different people and I would hate to offend anyone. I know I appreciate people critiquing my work but it's not for everyone. The image you've created is stunning!!
