Eurydice by fiveplustwo

Eurydice

Heartbroken Orpheus mourned Eurydice, his wife
Braved the Underworld and begged Hades to let her go
He allowed it on one condition, and so to save her life
Orpheus could not look back until the living’s glow

So with great hope he led the way to be reunited
But he stepped out, thought she had too, and so he turned his head
Eurydice still in the dark, alas uninvited
Was snatched right back and drowned, sadly, in the world of the dead

Theme: orphic.

Thanks a pantload, Orpheus! Now I have to live in eternal darkness with that creep, Hades! Super portrayal of Eurydice's tragedy!
