around here in the land of the moose and hockey, we call these soda or pop or soda pop.
i remember the taste test started in the 70's. the smell alone is a give-away and i can instantly tell coke from pepsi without having to taste them. and i don't know why they insist on the taste test because coke always wins anyway!
@summerfield so cute! You seem so happily eager to show which one won :) I don't drink soda but you're a girl after my own husband's heart: if he asks for a Coke when out to eat and the waiter says "is Pepsi ok?" he always gives them a confused look and says NO!
@kerosene - yup! every time i order rum and coke and i see they only use pepsi, i would refuse it. "i said rum and coke not rum and pepsi!" i'm a badass!
