Scarlet Woman by fiveplustwo

Scarlet Woman

To her dismay, she worked at night;
Wasn’t her preference, but things were tight.
And so when most people were fast asleep,
Her nightmare, all too real, kept running deep.

They were unaware, all too busy judging
She’d put herself through school: she had been saving.
Soon she’d disappear, leave those nights and the stress,
Become a strong, confident woman with, at last… success.

Theme: night.
