I have a ridiculous amount of yarn... I do use it - knitting, crocheting and crafting - but I fear my yarn collection will grow faster than I can ever use it up!
@henrir Hahaha! You caught me off guard. I laughed so hard. @kali66 Oh cool! I hope he does! It's such a good way to relax - we need more knitting boys in the world.
@ludgate When my brother and I were growing up we would play "string - string". We would take yarn or a big ball of string and start at one end of a room and criss-cross and tie the string to everything in the room, crossing the room back-and-forth until we had blocked off as much movable space as possible. Sometimes we would leave the string-string up for a few days until my mom got pissed and made us take it all down. Your balls of yarn remind me of this game.In hindsight the game was a great way to learn spacial 3D dimensions, puzzles, strategy, and several other skills. Try it, its great to relieve stress too!
@mikegifford i am sure your mum was greatly relieved of stress once you took it down! reminds me of a sculpture i made in my senior art class at school, i filled a room with crisscrosing strings and created a spiders 'nest' in the middle, i had bizarre ideas!
@ludgate I had a very cool yoga teacher once, Pete went along to knitting evenings, he was also a salsa dance teacher, gosh i missed him when he went away.
@ludgate what a neat hobby, and I love your choice of yarn colors! I wouldn't know what to do with it aside from @mikegifford is describing; just last weekend I used red yarn to make a 'laser' obstacle for my kids to go through...
Your yarn collection WILL grow faster than you can use it up...it's the natural progression of such things! Take it from one who's been on several "hobby tracks" and I have overload throughout the house now! Back when I was buying rubber stamps to make cards and such, I even gave myself the name of "Stampoverload"... Just ask any photographer here how their photo storage is coming along...!
