@northy Long story made short - In college I majored in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on thermodynamics and mechanics. As a junior I almost switched majors to go towards physics since the mathematics seemed comprehensible. By my senior year I was doing research on campus on re-flood of nuclear reactors. But I took a graduate course on modeling the earth's surface as a fluid. After that course I was cured of ever thinking of switching majors. The concepts were very esoteric so I stayed in the college of engineering and graduated with honors with nearly a 3.9 GPA. There was a point in time roughly 40 years ago when I lived for this scribble in the background. Gives me nightmares today for sure!
impressive indeed. even my special calculator with all those tangents and cosines and pi and square root thingies couldn't help me unless my life depended on it. the most smart thing i can do is calculate percentage in my head. i've decided a long time ago, that's enough for me. aces on this, mike.
@mikegifford this is awesome for the theme - and agreed with Domenico ( @domenicododaro true, and I seem to remember one of you with that tongue out?! :))
