if the light bulb was not invented, the world's population would've exploded a long time ago. but i'm pretty sure that supposed-to-be "night time activity" would have become really boring eventually someone would just itch to invent the darn light bulb. and trust me, it could've been a woman who did. as it is, i think mrs. edison should be given credit for she must have been so tired of mr. edison's advances she must have told him: "go find something useful to do and leave me be. i have a headache!"
there was a mrs. edison, wasn't there?
so i think the light bulb was mankind's (or womankind's) best invention.
