Quite a busy, peopley, sicky, tree-filled day today so lots of pictures to choose from, but I had to have this one.
I met with this beauty today, my long-time friend, HollyPop (pictured with my biggest girl-child and her emotional-support dog, Coco).
Holly is a beauty in every sense of the word: she is a beautiful woman, she has a beautiful heart and a beautiful soul. She is the best friend a person could hope for with the perfect balance of calm reasoning and vehement outrage. We don't see nearly enough of each other and I am not nearly as good a friend for her as she has been for me over the years. Sometimes though, we're able to reconnect and know that we're ok, just the way we are.
